OCTAVIO BERNAL

Composer, orchestrator, arranger, bassist, sound designer and conductor. He was born in Mexico City and studied at the Berklee International Network where he received a degree in Music Engineering and Contemporary Music Production and Performance, focusing his final year on sound design and synthesis. After his studies in Mexico, Octavio enrolled in the Program Orchestration for Film and TV at Berklee College of Music, where he received a merit scholarship in honor to Michel Camilo. Later, Octavio graduated with honors from Berklee College of Music, obtaining a Bachelor of Arts with concentration in Music Composition.

In addition to his knowledge of music, he is also adept at the latest music production technology. He has learned modern analog and digital synthesis techniques; he is also capable of creating his own virtual instruments, as well as understanding video game audio implementation. Octavio graduated with honors from the Master of Scoring for Film, TV and Video Games at Berklee College of Music and has recorded with different orchestras in Europe, including the Valencia Orchestra, Budapest Art Orchestra, Moscow Tie Orchestra and London Orchestra. Octavio Bernal has been nominated at the Hollywood Music in Media Awards in the category ‘Best Contemporary Classical Music’ and ‘Instrumental Music’ at the 2020 ceremony.
